ABOUT US


The West Valley Garden Club was federated on October 18, 1949 and has operated continuously as a thriving garden club since that date. Our club offers members many opportunities for gaining knowledge in horticulture projects, maintaining and updating their own garden, participating in many community projects and forming lasting friendships.

Floral Workshop at 9:30 a.m.
General Meeting at 10:00 a.m.

CLUB OBJECTIVES

  • Promote friendship
  • Promote interest in amateur gardening, in plant and bird life and appreciation for natural beauties of California
  • Encourage civic beautification and roadside developement
  • Preserve our environment

Membership

Our annual dues are $25.00 a year or $35 for two persons at the same address which includes a subscription to our newsletter, "The Garden Gate." Persons interested in membership are eligible for active membership following their attendance at two regular meetings.
Club members' gardening interests are varied from container gardening, fruit trees, vegetable gardens, native plants, iris, roses, violets, orchids, floral design, beginning gardeners to long time gardeners. They enjoy our yearly tours, the variety of programs, eating lunch together, sharing plants and each other's company. We currently have 56 members.
